Intro

We began our foray into the world of stained glass art for a number of reasons:

· It was a hobby we could do together, which was good for our marriage, as well as harmony and balance in our hectic lives

· It was a creative outlet, which even we scientists and computer geeks - or as a friend of ours call us - "intellectuals" need

· We found out that it was incredibly relaxing, because it requires great focus (or you end up with broken glass and injuries)

· We always found stained glass to be a beautiful art form

· And we could make great gifts this way!

But what to call our little artistic enterprise? Well, at the time we began this hobby, we had an elderly female calico cat (a grimalkin) and an elderly male ginger cat (our logo inspiration) - see www.puddytat.com for more on Angostura & Brabinger. And because Grimalkin was alliterative with Glass - and because Becky is so cat-crazy - it seemed a natural choice. Glass art is almost as beautiful as cats are.
